Working With Gadgets in Windows 7

1. When you install Windows 7, you can see some gadgets on desktop. If its not by default on your desktop, just right click and select Gadgets.

2. Here you can see different Gadgets like calendar, clock,  slideshow, weather etc. out of which some gadgets need to be connect to internet to work.

3. To place the Gadget on your desktop, just double-click on it.

4. You can remove gadget by clicking on the X button, and if there are any options associated with it, you can do the changes. For example you can expand the calendar view.

5. You can move your gadgets anywhere on desktop same like  you move the icon by just drag and drop.

6. As I said before you will need internet connection to work with some gadgets. For example without internet connection when I placed Weather Gadget to my desktop, it displays an error.
