Get Familiar with Windows 7 Desktop-Part 2

1. Windows 7 Desktop is made of some icons, a background wallpaper, some gadgets, the task bar with start menu icon, default program shortcuts, a notification area and date and time display.





2. The round icon with the Microsoft logo at the left-down corner is a start menu icon, clicking on it will open program menu.


3. Click on all programs and you will find all the programs installed by default by Windows 7 operating system.


4. On the desktop, you can change the icon size by right clicking on desktop and selecting view option and then appropriate icon size you like.


5. If some icons don’t appear on desktop then right-click on desktop and select personalize (show above figure). Here click on change desktop icons.

6. A new window will open and you can select the icons you would like to see on desktop. Click apply and then ok. The icons you selected are visible on desktop now.
